White House spokesman Harrison Fields announced today (Tuesday) on X (formerly Twitter) that an Arabian leopard is expected to arrive soon in Washington, D.C. The intriguing post sparked curiosity about the meaning behind the statement and its link to President Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia.

The surprising declaration is tied to an agreement between the United States and Saudi Arabia, signed during Trump’s Middle East visit. As part of the agreement, the two countries will cooperate on biological conservation, including the creation of a dedicated habitat at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington for the endangered Arabian leopard.

The Largest Arms Deal in History
At the same time, the U.S. and Saudi Arabia signed a historic $142 billion arms deal. Signed in Riyadh, the agreement is considered the largest weapons deal ever made between the two countries and includes broad defense sales across a range of advanced offensive and defensive systems.

As part of the broader agreements, Saudi Arabia is expected to invest around $600 billion in the United States in projects related to defense, energy, and mining. Trump, who was welcomed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, described the deal as a strategic step to strengthen economic ties between the nations.
