In one of the most moving moments surrounding Edan Alexander’s release from Hamas captivity on Monday evening, his grandmother shared a deeply symbolic reflection: “Today is Pesach Sheni – a day meant for anyone who couldn’t celebrate Passover. And now—Edan is celebrating his own. He is a free man.”

After more than a year and a half in Hamas captivity, Edan has finally returned home to his family—on a day that literally symbolizes redemption and liberation.
