The combat team of the “Iron Fist” (205th) Brigade continues its intensive operations in the Rafah area, in the southern Gaza Strip. Over the past week, the forces have worked to destroy terror infrastructure both above and below ground, and have eliminated dozens of terrorists operating in the area.
During the operation, IDF troops discovered large caches of weapons belonging to terrorist organizations in Gaza. The stockpiles were hidden in the heart of a civilian neighborhood—only about 80 meters from a former school building and roughly 100 meters from a structure that had served as a hospital. The IDF emphasizes that this is further proof of Hamas’ cynical exploitation of civilian spaces for military purposes.

According to the IDF, Hamas continues to operate from inside civilian buildings, aiming to obstruct IDF operations and create a false appearance of civilian harm. The military highlights that troops in the field are acting with maximum precision, targeting only terrorists and working to avoid harm to innocent civilians.
The IDF concluded that the 205th Brigade will continue operating deep within Gaza as part of the ongoing effort to dismantle terror infrastructure and protect the citizens of the State of Israel.
