This morning (Friday), Defense Minister Israel Katz met with the Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael Kurilla, together with the IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir. The meeting addressed several regional and security-related issues, including the shared challenges Israel and the United States face in the Middle East.
During the meeting, Minister Katz expressed his appreciation to General Kurilla for his considerable contribution to Israel’s defense and emphasized the importance of the strategic alliance and close cooperation between the two countries. Katz noted that strengthening defense ties with the United States is vital to Israel’s future security, especially in light of the mounting threats in the region.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump told Time magazine that he did not prevent Israel from striking Iran’s nuclear facilities. “I didn’t make it comfortable for them, but I didn’t say no,” Trump said, adding that while Israel may go to war, the United States would not be drawn into it against its will.
