With the conclusion of Passover, Israir received official approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to operate commercial flights to the United States—marking a significant milestone in the airline’s strategic expansion plan.
The permit, currently valid for two years, reflects the confidence U.S. authorities place in the professional and operational capabilities of the Israeli airline.

An Israeli experience—now above New York
The approval allows Israir to proceed with the regulatory process required to obtain final authorizations from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and the TSA (Transportation Security Administration). According to projections, a permanent license is expected by June 2025.
