Islamic Jihad released a video today (Wednesday) showing proof of life of hostage Rom Braslavski. In the video, Braslavski appears pleading with the Israeli government and former U.S. President Donald Trump, asking: “Please bring me home.” He references Trump’s past commitment to securing the release of all hostages.

“We can’t recognize you—but we see your goodness”
This is the first video of Braslavski. Previously, another released hostage reported having met Rom in captivity and even recorded a message promising to work for his release.
Rom’s family has not authorized the release of the full video or additional images at this stage.

“Rom, we love you and we won’t give up”
Rom’s brother, Amit Braslavski, posted a blurred image from the video to his private Instagram account and wrote: “Rom, my dear little brother—we can’t recognize you. You look like you’ve aged years, but we can still see your goodness and the Rom I’ve missed so much.”
In his post, Amit criticized the government for not reaching out to the family: “No one has contacted us. We will fight for you until the last drop of blood. We’ll do everything to bring you home. Rom, we love you and we won’t give up!”
A Hero at Nova
Rom was working as a security guard at the Nova music festival in Re’im on October 7 when he was abducted. After his disappearance, the family began receiving emotional testimonies about his bravery during the attack—helping partygoers escape from terrorists.
One survivor that Rom saved, later testified that Rom was shot in the arms while trying to help others escape.
