Undercover Border Police officers from the Judea and Samaria unit, backed by IDF troops from the Samaria Brigade and guided by Shin Bet intelligence, arrested two wanted suspects this morning (Tuesday) in the Rafidia neighborhood of Nablus. Both are suspected of involvement in terrorist activity.

As the forces entered the home of one of the suspects, he attempted to escape. The soldiers responded by initiating standard arrest procedures, during which they fired at his lower body. The suspect was hit and taken into custody on the spot. His brother, also suspected of terrorist involvement, was arrested at the same time.

A search of their home uncovered a number of weapons.

Suspect Arrested in Dahariya Ramming Attack
Earlier today (Tuesday), authorities also announced the arrest of a suspect involved in a ramming attack in Dahariya. About a day after the attack — in which a Yasam officer was lightly wounded — security forces arrested an Arab suspect and recovered the stolen vehicle used in the incident.

According to reports, the attack occurred in Dahariya when a suspicious vehicle fled from security forces operating in the area under the Judea and Samaria District. A preliminary investigation found that the suspect struck the officer while attempting to flee in the stolen car.

Immediately after the incident, large police and IDF forces were dispatched to the scene. They conducted extensive searches and set up checkpoints in an effort to capture the assailant. The suspect, along with the evidence collected, was transferred to the Hebron police station in the Judea and Samaria District for questioning.

Police stressed that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance in the region. Security forces will continue to act decisively and engage directly in order to safeguard civilians and reinforce the rule of law.
