In the coming days, the IDF is expected to receive a strategic shipment from the United States, including over 3,000 precision-guided munitions for the Israeli Air Force, as part of ongoing preparations for a wider military operation in Gaza.
In addition, Israel will receive over 10,000 additional air munitions to replenish stockpiles following a year and a half of multi-front warfare.

“Improved Air Force Readiness”
The shipment, recently approved by the U.S. administration, represents one of the most significant steps taken to reinforce Israel’s aerial strike capabilities.

As part of the deal—valued at $7.41 billion—Israel will receive a range of advanced weaponry, including Hellfire missiles, GBU-39 bombs, JDAM guidance kits, and thousands of precision-fuze bombs.

According to the Pentagon, the equipment will come from existing inventories and from defense contractors Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and L3Harris. The shipment will help Israel defend its borders, critical infrastructure, and civilians.
The U.S. State Department emphasized that the deals are designed to preserve Israel’s qualitative military edge, without undermining U.S. military readiness.
This deal—previously frozen by the Biden administration—was reinstated following Donald Trump’s return to the White House. It is expected to significantly boost the IDF’s operational readiness, not only in the south, but also in the face of other threats in the region.
