The IDF and Ministry of Defense delegation completed its mission in Thailand yesterday (Tuesday), after being deployed in response to the powerful earthquake that struck the region last week. The team, which included Home Front Command experts, landed in Bangkok and worked on-site alongside local emergency forces.
Sharing Knowledge and Technological Tools
The delegation was made up of population and engineering officers from the Home Front Command’s National Rescue Unit. They worked in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the IDF Operations Directorate’s Tevel Division. The Israeli team assisted in locating trapped individuals, built a situational assessment of the affected zones, and transferred technological tools and professional knowledge to Thai teams on the ground.

The Israeli team made use of advanced technologies and operated in the heart of the disaster areas, focusing on locating survivors and equipping Thai responders with enhanced tools for handling emergency situations.
“Our goal was to provide support and share the knowledge we’ve gained through years of experience in similar events,” the IDF said, emphasizing the high level of cooperation and engagement from the local authorities.
