Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has reported a sharp increase in the number of Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) employees, with a 45% rise in hires from the sector between 2022 and 2024. In the past year alone, 48 Haredi men and women joined the company, compared to 44 in 2023 and 33 in 2022. Today, IAI employs over 400 Haredi workers, both men and women.
Conference on integrating Haredim into tech roles
As part of its broader effort to promote workforce diversity, IAI recently hosted a dedicated employer conference focused on integrating Haredim into technological positions. The event was initiated by IAI’s recruitment center in cooperation with the “Zionism 2000” nonprofit and included participants from tech firms, government ministries, placement agencies, and Haredi training organizations.

During the conference, IAI presented a range of accommodations designed to support Haredi employees. These include filtered internet access, gender-sensitive work environments, daily prayer services (minyan), dedicated seminars, and more. The company also operates a diversity and inclusion forum, hosts roundtable discussions, and is preparing to launch a new empowerment course tailored to Haredi women.

New empowerment course for Haredi women
Alongside its existing initiatives, the company announced it will soon launch a course aimed at strengthening personal and professional confidence among Haredi women. Nir Reis, IAI’s Vice President of Human Capital, said the growth in recruitment stems from focused efforts such as targeted advertising, expanded partnerships with Haredi organizations, and professional outreach events.
