A Joyous Passover Ahead for 3,500 Lone IDF Soldiers

As Passover approaches, the Michael Levin Lone Soldier Center will provide meaningful support to 3,500 lone soldiers serving in the IDF. The organization, which assists soldiers who have immigrated to Israel or who lack family support in the country, is working to ensure they can celebrate the holiday with dignity and joy.

Each lone soldier will receive a festive holiday package delivered directly to their home. The packages will include essential Passover items, daily necessities, and sweet treats to bring the spirit of the holiday into their homes.

Shared Holiday Meals Across the Country
In addition to the care packages, the Center will host communal holiday meals across Israel. These “Seder Together” events will give lone soldiers the opportunity to enjoy a traditional, warm Seder in a supportive and family-like atmosphere.

The meals will take place at the Center’s six homes in Jerusalem, Herzliya, and Modi’in, as well as in its various regional branches throughout the country. Volunteers and staff will lead the Seders, which will include reading the Haggadah, singing, and festive holiday conversations. The goal is to provide a deep sense of community and belonging—especially for soldiers who are far from family or are not in contact with them.

A Time for Family and Freedom
Liora Rubinstein, CEO of the Michael Levin Lone Soldier Center, shared:
“Passover is a time of family and freedom, and we believe it’s vital to ensure every lone soldier has the chance to celebrate it meaningfully. Our support is about more than just meeting physical needs—it’s about offering emotional support and strengthening their sense of connection to the State of Israel and its people.”
