Yesterday (Wednesday) the IDF struck remaining military assets at the Syrian military bases in Hama and T4 , along with other military infrastructure near Damascus. This morning Al Jazeera reported that 11 people were killed in Israeli Air Force strikes on the outskirts of Daraa in southern Syria.
The attack comes amid heightened tensions in the region and the IDF’s intensified activity in the northern arena against hostile elements operating from Syrian territory.
474th Brigade Operated in the Area of Tasil, Southern Syria
Overnight, forces from the IDF’s 474th Brigade operated in the Tasil area of southern Syria, seizing weapons and destroying terror infrastructure. During the operation, several armed operatives opened fire on Israeli forces in the area. The troops returned fire and eliminated a number of armed terrorists, both from the ground and the air.
The forces completed their mission without any casualties on the Israeli side.
This is the second such shooting incident targeting IDF troops in southern Syria. A similar event occurred about a week ago in the village of Qoya.

Explosives, mortar shells, ammunition, vests, combat gear, magazines, and bullets
In recent weeks, troops from the Paratroopers Brigade’s combat team, together with Yahalom Unit fighters, have carried out targeted raids on several locations based on intelligence indications.
During the raids, numerous weapons were discovered and confiscated — including explosives, mortar shells, ammunition, tactical vests, combat gear, magazines, and bullets. All findings were destroyed on site.
Defending the North
Forces from the Division 210 remain deployed in the area to protect Israel’s northern communities and the Golan Heights. Sergeant D., a soldier from the Paratroopers’ 890th Battalion, described the operational routine near Mount Hermon:
“With a view like this right in front of your eyes, you can almost forget it’s enemy territory — but only for a small moment. Even when everything seems quiet, we stay alert. We operate in villages near the border to prevent any surprise attack and to keep the communities in the sector safe.”
