IDF Counterterrorism Operation in Samaria Continues to Protect Israelis

Over the past week, security forces eliminated two terrorists, arrested approximately 80 wanted individuals, and confiscated dozens of weapons. Terrorists who regularly threw stones were apprehended.

Terrorists who regularly threw stones at Route 60 were apprehended
The Binyamin Territorial Brigade successfully apprehended three terrorists who had been repeatedly throwing stones at passing vehicles on Route 60. Additionally, IDF and ISA (Shin Bet) forces carried out operations in multiple locations, eliminating two terrorists and arresting several wanted individuals, including those suspected of involvement in terror-related offenses.

Security forces also seized dozens of weapons, including firearms, explosives, and ammunition. Among the confiscated items was an M-16 rifle found in the village of Jibal Shamali, belonging to an arrested terrorist. The terrorists, weapons, and equipment were transferred to the Shin Bet and the central unit of the Judea and Samaria District Police for further investigation.

This week, the Judea and Samaria Division, in coordination with the Israel Air Force, conducted counterterrorism activities in the ‘Arura area within the Binyamin sector, alongside a series of helicopter-based drills designed to prepare for extreme scenarios.

As part of the exercise, forces raided dozens of targets. Additionally, in the Ephraim, Menashe, and Yehuda Territorial Brigades, aerial drills were conducted to enhance the operational readiness of soldiers, focusing on coordination and synchronization between ground and air forces.
