Elitzur, the rapper and performer who captured national attention over the past year, will take the stage at Israel’s 77th Independence Day state ceremony, according to a report published Wednesday by Israel Music.
Bridges of Hope
This year’s ceremony will be held under the theme Bridges of Hope, highlighting individuals across Israeli society whose efforts bring communities together and strengthen national unity.

The Voice Behind a National Hit
Elitzur—whose full name is Yair Elitzur—is a religious rapper and a devoted follower of Rabbi Shalom Arush of the Breslov Hasidic movement. His breakout track, Tamid Ohev Oti, became a national anthem of sorts. His more recent single, Tatte Tahter, was also a hit and was later re-released in a collaborative version with singer Ben Tzur.

“If There Are No Last-Minute Changes…”
“If there are no last-minute changes,” wrote Israel Music on Instagram, “Elitzur—the rapper behind Tamid Ohev Oti—will perform at this year’s official torch-lighting ceremony on Mount Herzl.”
A Shared Mission of Hope
The government announced the Bridges of Hope theme earlier this year, stating:
“Over the past year, despite deep divisions and heartache, we’ve witnessed extraordinary acts by women, men, and young people from all walks of life in Israel—people who believe that even when we disagree, we must still build bridges of hope. That’s how we create a stronger society together.”
