“The IDF urges the public to avoid spreading rumors or unverified details that could harm the families ahead of the investigation’s release,” the military said in a statement.
One of the Worst Massacres in Israel’s History
The Nova music festival, a large outdoor dance event held overnight between October 6 and 7 near Re’im, turned from a celebration into a scene of terror within moments. During Hamas’s surprise attack on Saturday morning, dozens of terrorists infiltrated the site, opened fire on festivalgoers, carried out mass killings, and abducted dozens of young Israelis into Gaza.

Among those murdered at Nova was Keshet Casarotti-Kalfa, a young man remembered for his joyful spirit. On the evening of October 7, he had celebrated Simchat Torah at a synagogue in Tel Aviv before heading south to join the festival. After his death was confirmed, his girlfriend Kedem launched a memorial project in his name—dedicated to spreading acts of kindness in his memory.
