During the night (between Monday and Tuesday), an armed terrorist planning to carry out an immediate attack against Israeli civilians was eliminated, according to a joint statement from the police, IDF, and Shin Bet spokespeople.
The operation took place in the town of Qalqilya within the territory of the Ephraim Brigade, following precise intelligence information from the Shin Bet.
Gunfire from the Structure, and Immediate Response
Upon the arrival of Yamam fighters and IDF forces at the structure where the terrorist was hiding, he opened fire towards them. In response, the forces fired live rounds, deployed an explosive drone, and used a shoulder-fired missile. During the exchange of fire, the terrorist was eliminated and two additional terrorists were neutralized.
In searches conducted at the scene, a “Carlo” type weapon was found next to him. There were no injuries to our forces.
