The IDF continues to operate vigorously in the Gaza Strip. Yesterday, IDF forces began focused ground operations in Central and Southern Gaza. As part of the operation, the forces reasserted and expanded their control up to the center of the Netzarim Axis. Meanwhile, it was decided that Golani Brigade forces would position themselves in the southern sector and be prepared to operate in the Gaza Strip.

Is Hamas Retreating?

The sources from the terrorist organization emphasized that Hamas did not reject the American envoy Steve Witkoff’s proposal but established a condition for its acceptance, immediate transition to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which includes ending the war.

According to the sources, negotiations and discussions are ongoing around the proposal currently on the negotiation table. They estimated that a Hamas delegation is expected to arrive in Cairo today for meetings with senior Egyptian officials, aiming to examine the latest developments.
