Focusing Aid: Mount Druze and the Syrian Border
The humanitarian operation was initiated under the direction of Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, in coordination with Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, head of the Druze community in Israel, and in collaboration with the Druze religious council, the IDF, and other entities in the region.
Most of the packages were delivered to the ‘Mount Druze’ area in the Suwayda province where a large Druze population resides. Additional aid was sent to Druze settlements near the Israeli border, according to needs on the ground.

Saar: “A Strong Alliance with Our Druze Brothers”
Foreign Minister Gideon Saar commented on the operation, saying, “We have a strong alliance with our Druze brothers. It is a privilege to assist them. In an area where we will always be a minority, it is necessary and right to assist other minorities.”
The aid sent to Syria is not only humanitarian but also conveys a clear message about Israel’s commitment to the Druze community both in Israel and beyond. During a period of regional tension, Israel shows that it stands by its allies and acts to ensure their safety.

Investing in Druze Infrastructure: 25 Million Shekels for Improving Quality of Life
It should be noted that alongside humanitarian efforts to assist Druze in Syria, the government continues to invest in strengthening Druze and Circassian communities in Israel. 25 million shekels will be allocated to 18 local authorities in the North as part of a comprehensive plan to improve environmental infrastructure.
The budget, which will be distributed through the cleaning fund of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, will be allocated for waste management, environmental hazards, and for the collection of refuse in businesses and open areas. This is a significant step toward closing the environmental infrastructure gaps between Druze and Circassian communities and other areas in Israel.
