Agam Berger, the border surveillance soldier who was released from Hamas captivity after 482 days, addressed the public this evening (Wednesday) in an emotional appeal to participate in the reading of the Megillah for the hostages. In a video released, she invites the public to attend the event taking place this Thursday, the 13th of Adar, at 17:30 in the Hostages’ Square.

We Are Their Voice, They Need Us
Berger said, “Dear people of Israel, I invite all of you to the reading of the Megillah on Thursday, the 13th of Adar, at 17:30 in the Hostages’ Square. Together, we will turn the fate and return our 59 brothers and sisters, both the living and the fallen, so that we do not leave anyone behind. We are their voice; they need us. Come, be part of it, and share. Am Yisrael Chai!”

“Million Good Deeds” Initiative for the Hostages
It is worth mentioning that Agam led last month’s “Million Good Deeds” initiative by Shay Graucher and the Moment Group, aimed at encouraging the public to perform good deeds for the release of the hostages.

Graucher, a well-known philanthropist, shared that from the hostages who were released, he learned that unity in Israel is a tremendous source of strength for them: “I hear from the female hostages who returned that while in captivity, they heard about the good deeds that the people of Israel are doing, which strengthened them greatly. Knowing that a nation cares, that it unites and acts for their benefit, gave them the strength to stand on their feet.”
