Good Deeds Day, taking place next Tuesday, is an initiative which encourages thousands of community and social projects, as well as volunteer activities throughout the country. It was established by the Good Spirit Organization, which connects volunteers with charities year-round.
This year, the largest volunteer exhibition in Israel, Social Lens, will encourage community engagement and highlight the efforts of volunteers from across the country. The exhibition will showcase touching photographs documenting significant moments of volunteering over the past year, with special reference to the current period and its challenges. The display will be established simultaneously at more than eight different locations across the country, aiming to illuminate the good deeds and express appreciation for volunteers dedicated to the community. During their visit to the exhibition, attendees will be able to engage with the personal stories behind the photos, moments of giving, compassion, and community action.
Every Picture Tells a Story

“The focus of the exhibition is on the volunteers themselves, those behind the camera and those captured in the images,” says Ido Loten, CEO of the Good Spirit Organization. “Each picture tells a story of meaningful action and illustrates the tremendous impact that small acts of goodness can have on society as a whole.”

Now More Than Ever
Businesswoman Shari Arison, the initiator of Good Deeds Day, explains the vision behind the initiative, which began 19 years ago, “Especially during challenging times, the choice to do good is more important than ever. When we choose to think good, speak good, and do good, we create a better reality. Each one of us has the power to lead change, each in our own way and path.”
