Israel Railways’ annual Purim event in collaboration with the “Larger Than Life” organization took place yesterday (Wednesday). The event brought together hundreds of children battling cancer and their families alongside social media influencer Kevin Rubin and children’s entertainer “Nofiki.”
The Train of Smiles
Titled “The Train of Smiles,” this cherished tradition of Israel Railways is held in partnership with the “Larger Than Life” organization dedicated to Israeli families affected by pediatric cancer. The celebration began at Tel Aviv’s Savidor Central Station, where a colorful festival awaited the children with entertainers, face painters, clowns, and surprises. From there, participants boarded a specially decorated train that took them to Be’er Sheva, where they enjoyed a festive lunch, performances, and a main show featuring Kevin Rubin and “Nofiki,” who added excitement and holiday cheer to the event.
25 Years of Support
This year, “Larger Than Life” marks 25 years of dedicated service to children with cancer and their families. Over the years, the organization has provided medical, social, and emotional support to thousands of children across Israel, working tirelessly to improve their quality of life and bring them hope and optimism.

“May We Rejoice and Hear Only Good News”
Chairman of Israel Railways’ Board of Directors, Attorney Moshe Shimoni, shared: “This is an inspiring and blessed initiative that we have been honored to support for the past 20 years. Especially in these times, we take great pride in giving these children and their families a day filled with joy, bringing smiles to their faces and a moment of peace. As the month of Adar begins, I wish for all of Israel to have more joy and to hear only good news.”
CEO of “Larger Than Life,” Efrat Lichtman, added: “For the second year, we are holding ‘The Train of Smiles’ under the shadow of war, in a reality where all of Israel is on a rollercoaster of sorrow and joy. I am proud of our strong partnership with Israel Railways, which enables this magical and hopeful day for hundreds of families with children battling cancer every year. May the spirit of the holiday bring us health, happiness, and the safe return of all our hostages.”
