U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke today (Tuesday) with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, emphasizing that the commitment to support for Israel remains a top priority for President Donald Trump. During the conversation, Rubio noted that this support is further demonstrated by the decision to expedite the transfer of nearly $4 billion in military aid to Israel.

Actions for The Complete Release of Hostages
During the discussion, Rubio expressed gratitude to Netanyahu for cooperating with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in efforts to secure the release of remaining hostages and extend the ceasefire in Gaza. The two also discussed the need for close coordination between the U.S. and Israel in confronting the Iranian threat and exploring opportunities to promote regional stability in the Middle East.

Rubio Blames Iran for Regional Instability
Secretary Rubio visited Israel last month, where he met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Opposition Leader Yair Lapid and several other senior Israeli officials.

During his visit, Rubio stressed that the U.S. administration is working tirelessly to secure the hostages’ release, stating: “President Trump has made it clear that the hostages must be freed, and we are working closely with the Israeli government to ensure that happens—this is a moral obligation.” The senior U.S. official also underscored the need to eliminate Hamas, stating, “Hamas cannot continue to rule Gaza—it must be completely destroyed.”

He further emphasized that Iran remains a key target. “Iran is the root cause of instability in the region. It will not achieve nuclear capability, and President Trump has been unequivocal on this issue.” As Hamas’ unreliability and regional tensions persist, Israel’s security remains a top priority for the U.S. administration.
