In a speech delivered at the conservative political organization CPAC conference, President Donald Trump expressed shock at the condition of the six hostages who were returned from Gaza captivity yesterday (Saturday) evening.
Trump said severely: “The six hostages who returned were in a shocking state. There are negotiations, we’re working on it, and I don’t want to elaborate on it.”
“The Disengagement from Gaza was One of the Worst Deals I’ve Ever Seen”
Trump also sharply criticized Israel’s decision to disengage from the Gaza Strip: “Some Israeli guy (referring to the late Prime Minister Ariel Sharon) decided to give it up. It’s one of the worst real estate deals I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of bad real estate deals.”

Trump remarked about the Gaza Strip: “The location is excellent. I have no idea why Israel gave it up. If you look at the map, the entire strip has access to the sea.”
“There’s Nothing to Look For in Gaza in the Coming Years”
These comments were made against the backdrop of the Trump administration’s plan to encourage emigration from the Gaza Strip. Last week, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said: “It’s the only feasible plan.”
According to Smotrich, although the logistics required to relocate such large populations are massive, he believes that “the vast majority will want to leave” and that “Gazans have nothing to look for in Gaza for the next 10–15 years.”
Trump Fires U.S. Military Chief
In other military-related actions, prior to this past weekend President Trump fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Brown as part of a broader reshuffle at the Pentagon. According to the White House, the reason for the dismissal was: “An excessive focus on progressive issues in the military at the expense of military readiness.”
Brown, a fighter pilot and four-star general, was the second African-American in U.S. history to hold the position. He will be replaced by Lieutenant General Dan Kane, an experienced pilot and national security expert.
Trump wrote on his media platform ‘Truth Social’: “I am proud to announce the appointment of Dan ‘Razor’ Kane. He is a security expert and a successful entrepreneur.”

Trump’s New Deal for Ukraine
According to a new report, the Trump administration has proposed an especially tough deal to Ukraine: “Half of the country’s mineral revenues will be transferred to the United States — without any guarantee of continued military aid to Kyiv.”
Political sources claim that during the negotiations, Washington threatened to disconnect the Ukrainian military from Elon Musk’s satellite communication services (Starlink) if President Zelensky refused the terms: “Ukraine relies on Starlink. Losing it would be a massive blow,” said a source familiar with the matter.
Trump’s remarks highlight his uncompromising stance on global issues, signaling a tough approach to Middle East policy, hostage negotiations, and U.S. foreign relations with Ukraine.
