Approximately five months after he was killed by the Air Force in Beirut, today (Sunday) the funeral procession for Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and his successor, Ahsan Safi al-Din, took place.

Nasrallah’s Elimination: Moments of the Strike Revealed
On September 27, 2024, at 18:21, the IDF carried out precise strikes on several strategic targets in Beirut, resulting in the deaths of Hassan Nasrallah, Ali Khoury, and several other senior commanders of Hezbollah.

The operation, planned for months, was executed simultaneously at multiple locations, primarily focusing on Hezbollah’s underground command center in Beirut, where Nasrallah and his associates were present. In addition to the targeted elimination, the IDF attacked and destroyed other military installations belonging to the organization.

Footage of the strike—Moment by Moment:

IDF released rare footage from the moments of the attack, showing direct hits on facilities that were part of Hezbollah’s military infrastructure. The footage demonstrates how the main building where Nasrallah and his associates were located was reduced to rubble in seconds.

IDF Spokesperson: “The precise strikes eliminated the head of the snake and significantly collapsed Hezbollah’s command and control capabilities. Israel has once again made it clear that it will not allow terrorist organizations to dictate the agenda in the region.”

Fear of Israeli Attacks During the Funeral
The IDF conducted three strikes in Lebanon today, with the last strike occurring simultaneously with the beginning of the funeral procession, targeting military sites containing rocket launchers and weaponry in the Baalbek area and several other regions in southern Lebanon. These sites were identified as having Hezbollah terrorist activities. An IDF spokesperson stated: “These activities by the terrorist organization Hezbollah violate the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and pose a threat to the State of Israel and its citizens. The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”

Diplomatic sources informed the newspaper Al-Akhbar that Qatar has been engaged in urgent talks with the U.S. and other countries to ensure “clear guarantees” that Israel would not exploit the event for further attacks. According to sources, Hezbollah itself has conveyed threatening messages through intermediaries that any Israeli military action during the funeral would lead to an immediate escalation along the northern border.

Part of the Funeral Procession as Reported by Al-Jazeera:

Naim Qasem Warns: “We Will Continue the Path of Resistance”
The current Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naim Qasem, spoke during the ceremony, as his remarks were broadcast on a large screen. “Even if we all die and our houses are destroyed, we will continue the path of resistance,” he declared. Qasem added that “we will continue to confront Israel and anyone who supports it, including the U.S.,” and vowed that Hezbollah would work to release Lebanese prisoners held in Israel.

High-Level Guests from the Shiite World Attend the Ceremony
Reports indicate that among the attendees at the funeral are senior Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf. Additionally, representatives from pro-Iranian Shiite militias in Iraq, including representatives from the “Hashd al-Shaabi” organization, which allegedly provided four million dollars in financial aid to Hezbollah, have also arrived.

strong>Beirut on Alert—Israel Signals from the Air
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz commented on the images coming from the Lebanese capital and stated: “Israeli Air Force planes circling above Nasrallah’s funeral are sending a clear message—those who threaten Israel and attack it will meet their end. You will excel in funerals, and we will excel in victories.”

While Hezbollah attempts to turn the funeral into a demonstration of regional strength, the reality on the ground shows that Israel is undeterred by threats and continues its military operations against the organization. Whether it’s a clear signal from the air or direct actions against Hezbollah targets, it appears that the confrontation between Israel and the terrorist organization is far from over.
