Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz met with a delegation of U.S. senators this evening (Sunday), which included Lindsey Graham, Sheldon Whitehouse, Richard Blumenthal, Joni Ernst, Dan Sullivan, Adam Schiff, Andy Kim, and John Cornyn, as well as Deputy to the U.S. President’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Morgan Ortagus. The impressive bipartisan delegation has traveled to Israel to express their strong support for the country.
No to a Palestinian State
During the meeting, Katz stated, “Israel will never agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state that endangers its existence. Israel’s priorities are clear: preventing a nuclear Iran, securing the safe release of the hostages, and eliminating Hamas in Gaza – then resuming the normalization agreements with Saudi Arabia. Trump’s plan regarding Gaza is the only one that can guarantee security for the both residents of the south, and the State of Israel at large.”
The minister further emphasized that in light of the lessons learned from the events of October 7th, Trump’s plan for Gaza is the only viable option for ensuring Israel’s security.

Katz expressed his gratitude to the delegation for their unwavering support of Israel, highlighting their country’s efforts to bring the hostages home and destroy the Hamas terror organization. “A policy of maximum economic pressure will not be enough this time — we must ensure that Iran never obtains nuclear weapons,” Katz asserted.
He stressed that Iran must be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons at all costs, as this would be an extremely dangerous threat to Israel, the U.S., and the entire Western world.
The U.S.-Israeli alliance acknowledges that the security and stability of the region depend on unwavering determination and decisive action against the destabilizing terrorism of Iran and Hamas.
