Amid the growing threat from Yemen, a redeployment of Israeli defensive and offensive forces took place in the early morning hours (Sunday), as an Israeli Navy submarine docked in the Gulf of Eilat after an extended voyage around the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.
The unprecedented move marks the first deployment of a submarine to the region since the conflict with Hamas began, in response to the continued Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping routes.
Security Measures Against the Houthis
According to security sources, the deployment of the submarine to the southern front is intended as a message of deterrence against the Houthis’ continued attacks and threats against Israeli vessels.

Arrival of a Massive U.S. Weapons Shipment
As previously reported, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that an immense shipment of heavy munitions had been approved by President Trump, including MK-84 bombs. Upon it’s arrival, the weapons shipment was unloaded at the Ashdod Port and transferred to Air Force bases.
Since the war began, Israel has received over 76,000 tons of military equipment via 678 flights and 129 maritime shipments — the largest airlift operation in the country’s history.
