Israel’s First Lady, Michal Herzog, held an emotional meeting on Wednesday with freed Hamas hostages and their families, listening to their harrowing stories and ongoing struggles. Among those present were Keith Siegel and Doron Steinbacher, as well as the families of Romi Gonen, Agam Berger, and Emily Damari, all of whom were released in the first hostage deal.
“We Must Bring Them All Home”
During the meeting, Herzog expressed deep emotion over the reunions and reaffirmed Israel’s unwavering commitment to securing the release of all remaining hostages. “Hearing the testimonies of those who have returned home only reinforces the urgency of bringing back every last hostage,” she stated, praising the relentless efforts of families fighting for their loved ones’ release.

“I Had the Privilege of Returning—Now We Must Fight for the Rest”
Aviva Siegel, wife of freed hostage Keith Siegel, who was herself kidnapped and later released, shared her perspective: “Hearing from Keith about what he endured, thinking about those still trapped—it’s unbearable. We must get them all out.”

Doron Steinbacher reflected on her return home and the need to keep advocating for the others still in captivity: “I wanted to share my own story, to say that I’m okay—but more than that, to emphasize the fight must continue. I had the privilege of coming home, and just as people fought for me, we must keep fighting until everyone is home.”
