After rapper Kanye West posted a series of unhinged antisemitic tweets on X last Friday, his talent agent at ’33&West’ announced that he has severed ties with West. Music agent Daniel McCartney posted on Instagram that effective immediately, he will no longer represent West due to his hateful and harmful statements. “My agency 33&West and I cannot support these remarks,” he wrote.

West’s X Account Removed
Many users reported yesterday that West’s X account had disappeared. It remains unclear whether he deleted it himself or if it was removed by the platform.

“I Love Hitler, I Don’t Trust Jews”
Among his sickening tweets, West expressed support for the genocide of the Jewish people and spread hateful rhetoric. “I love Hitler,” he wrote in one post. Additional statements included: “I love that Jews come to me and say they can no longer work with me”, “I am a Nazi”, “Some of my best friends are Jewish, and I don’t trust any of them”, and “Call me Yadolph Hitler” (a play on his current moniker ‘Ye’ and Adolf Hitler).

In reaction to West’s Jew-hating racist tweets, over the past week his account was suspended and Jewish actor David Schwimmer called on Elon Musk to take action against him. West’s remarks have rightfully led to severe consequences and outrage, and as backlash grows the fallout from his hateful rhetoric continues to impact his career and reputation.
