The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a targeted airstrike this evening (Wednesday) in Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip. According to Israeli reports, the strike was a warning shot rather than an assassination, conducted in response to a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
However, reports from Gaza indicate that a person was killed in Al-Awda Square, in the center of Rafah.
Earlier this week, an Israeli Air Force aircraft fired at a suspicious vehicle moving northward from central Gaza. The vehicle bypassed the agreed-upon inspection route, thereby violating the established ceasefire framework.
