The IDF continued its operations today (Monday) in southern Lebanon to dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure. Forces eliminated several Hezbollah operatives active in the area, thereby removing immediate threats to IDF troops and residents near the border. The IDF also reported that additional suspects posing a potential threat to the forces were located and detained.
The operation aims to maintain security achievements, keep threats away from the northern border, and send a message to the terrorist organization and Israeli citizens. Meanwhile, the IDF Spokesperson reported that combat teams of the 769th Brigade and the 7th Brigade are operating in the area and conducting sweeps to clear the terrain.

Elimination of Terrorists and Destruction of Missile Storage Facilities
In recent days, IDF forces located several warehouses storing mortar shells, missiles, rockets, explosives, and additional weaponry. “All weapons were seized, and the warehouses were destroyed,” an official statement said. This operation reduces Hezbollah’s future attack capabilities in the area, especially as the ceasefire agreement nears its expiration and the terrorist organization may attempt to regroup and rebuild.

Military Pressure Becomes Diplomatic Strategy
“The IDF is determined to continue operating in accordance with understandings between Israel and Lebanon and will act to remove any threat to the State of Israel and its citizens,” the statement read. The emphasis on the understandings between the two countries is deliberate — it aims to clarify that the operations are conducted within an agreed framework, reinforcing Israel’s international legitimacy and reducing diplomatic pressure.
Unusual Interception: A Message to Israeli Citizens — and to Hezbollah
Last week, an unmanned Hezbollah drone was intercepted while flying toward Israel. This marked the first such violation since the northern border ceasefire took effect after months of heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
In response, the “Fighting for the North” headquarters, which represents hundreds of local families and evacuees from the area, issued a strong statement: “If Israel allows Hezbollah’s reconnaissance drones to enter its airspace without an adequate response, it will open the door to further violations and increased provocations by the organization. A disproportionate response is required to make it clear to Hezbollah that compromising Israel’s security will not be tolerated. We must not return to the containment policy of October 6th.”

IDF Emphasizes: We Will Not Allow Hezbollah to Gather Intelligence
The IDF has stressed that it will not allow Hezbollah to conduct intelligence-gathering operations in Israeli territory. “Any attempt to violate national sovereignty will be met with a response based on security considerations,” security officials stated.
Footage released by the IDF from these operations serves a dual purpose; it provides Israeli citizens with a transparent view of military activity in the area, while sending a clear message to Hezbollah that Israeli forces remain alert and determined to enforce the ceasefire conditions.
