Miri Ben-Ari, the Grammy-winning Israeli violinist, sent an emotional message today (Monday) to Agam Berger—the 20-year-old border surveillance soldier who was freed from captivity last Thursday and is known for her love of playing the violin.

“Playing Is Part of the Healing Journey”

“I invite Agam to play with me,” said Ben-Ari. “Playing is part of the journey, part of the healing process. It’s something that can help the soul reach a better place. I closely followed her story and prayed for her and all the hostages.”

As a reminder, Agam Berger, who was kidnapped from the Nahal Oz outpost on October 7, returned to Israel after 482 days in Hamas captivity. Berger is a talented violinist, and a viral video of her playing “Hallelujah” circulated widely while she was in captivity. Now, Ben-Ari has invited her for a joint performance of the song.

“Thank You to the Security Forces and the People of Israel for Their Support and Prayers”

Following her release, Berger’s family issued a statement: “Thank God we have reached this moment, and our hero Agam has returned to us after 482 days in enemy hands. Our daughter is strong, faithful, and courageous. We want to thank the security forces and the entire people of Israel for all the support and prayers. Now Agam and we can begin the recovery process, but our healing will not be complete until all the hostages return home.”
