In recent weeks, the Israeli Air Force launched the “Sky Integration” program to improve coordination with ground forces as part of Operation “Iron Wall” in Judea and Samaria, according to a report by Israeli news site, Ynet. As part of the program, squadron commanders and their deputies will participate in field operations alongside ground forces to gain firsthand experience of the challenges in the area and enhance the effectiveness of air support.

Last Wednesday, the deputy commander of Squadron 109 joined the reserve battalion forces of the Samaria Brigade 8109 in a complex operation. He worked alongside the troops, studied their tactics, and observed their operational needs. Meanwhile, ground force commanders gained insight into the Air Force’s operational strategies, improving overall mission coordination.

The IDF and Shin Bet plan to expand the program, with pilots and squadron commanders scheduled to spend 24-hour rotations in various sectors across Judea and Samaria in the coming weeks. The initiative aims to deepen cooperation with ground forces and optimize joint operational effectiveness.

It should be noted that 13 days ago, the IDF launched Operation “Iron Wall” in northern Samaria. The operation has so far resulted in the elimination of over 50 terrorists and the arrest of more than 100.

As part of the mission, the IDF and Shin Bet have conducted searches in hundreds of structures in Jenin. During these searches, bomb-making laboratories, weapons caches, observation command centers, and other terrorist infrastructure were uncovered.

Security forces, led by the Menashe Engineering Unit and elite Yahalom combat engineers, destroyed 23 terrorist structures in Jenin yesterday. Explosions from the demolitions were heard across multiple regions in the country.
