“Our life’s mission—to bring Arbel home—has succeeded. We are overwhelmed with emotion. But ahead of us lies a long journey of family healing. We are a bereaved family, forever mourning the absence of our beloved Dolev.”

The Yehud family expressed their gratitude to everyone involved in the process of securing Arbel’s release, as well as to the broader public for their unwavering support during this difficult time: “We wish to thank everyone who made Arbel’s release possible. Thank you to the countless people who have worked day and night, refusing to give up, fighting tirelessly to bring our loved ones home.”

“Arbel Is Back—But Our Mission Is Not Over”

While celebrating Arbel’s return, the family made it clear that their struggle continues, as Arbel’s partner, Ariel, remains in Hamas captivity. “Arbel has returned to us, but our mission is far from complete. Her partner, Ariel, is still being held in Gaza, along with his brother David, their close friend Sasha, and so many others from Nir Oz and beyond. We will not rest until every hostage is freed.”

“Please Respect Her Privacy”

The family issued a heartfelt plea to the public, urging respect for Arbel’s privacy as she begins her recovery: “Though we understand the excitement and the feeling that Arbel belongs to all of us, we ask that she be given the peace and space she needs. We kindly request that you respect her privacy and ours during this crucial time.”

They added a strong call to action, emphasizing that the release of a few hostages should not close the door to continued efforts: “We cannot allow the door that has been opened to be shut. We must bring them all home—immediately—so that we, as a society, can begin to heal.”
