Netanyahu Firmly States “Hamas are the New Nazis” on Holocaust Remembrance Day

As thousands of Palestinians return to northern Gaza and tensions rise on the Lebanese border, the Israeli Prime Minister's statement sparked widespread reactions on Arab and international media. "We are committed to defeating Hamas once and for all," Netanyahu declared.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed developments in the ongoing conflict across multiple fronts today (Monday), focusing specifically on Gaza. In a post made this morning on his official X account, he reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to eradicating the Hamas terrorist organization, coinciding with International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

“Hamas Are the New Nazis”
Netanyahu stated, “Hamas are the new Nazis, and we are committed to defeating them once and for all.” In his post, he called on all civilized nations to combat antisemitism “wherever it appears,” whether on university campuses, city streets, or in international forums like the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Netanyahu’s Post on International Holocaust Remembrance Day:

A Scathing Response to the ICC
Netanyahu criticized the ICC, describing its stance as antisemitic and discriminatory, and accusing it of tarnishing its own legacy. “The ICC, established in the shadow of the Holocaust, has disgraced itself with its antisemitic attacks on Israel,” he stated. This comes against the backdrop of an arrest warrant issued by the ICC last November for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The warrant alleged that they knowingly blocked the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza residents, actions deemed to constitute war crimes.

Netanyahu reiterated that “the Jewish state will always serve as a safe haven for Jews around the world.” He emphasized that Israel will continue to act decisively against the biased threats to its existence, and threats to the Jewish people as a whole.
