“Preparations Underway for Pilot Launch on Sunday”
Reports indicate that representatives from the overseeing company arrived in Israel in recent days to begin preparations for a pilot program, which is scheduled to launch on Sunday. The facility, to be established along the Nitzarim route, may initially focus solely on vehicle inspections, while procedures for screening pedestrians remain unclear.
Under the agreement, the IDF is expected to reduce its presence inside Gaza while maintaining control over a buffer zone approximately 700 meters wide along the border with Israeli communities. Security deployment on the Philadelphi route is expected to evolve later, but further troop withdrawals depend on progress in the deal or a potential resumption of hostilities.

An International Inspection Initiative
According to The New York Times, the security operation involves three private firms selected by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar, with Israel’s approval:
– Safe Reach Solutions: The American company managing the project specializes in strategic planning and logistics, drafting the operational framework for the initiative.
–UG Solutions: Another American private security firm with armed personnel deployed in conflict zones worldwide. Sources reveal that some of its staff are veterans of elite U.S. military units.
– An Egyptian security firm: Approved by both Egyptian and Israeli intelligence services, this firm will participate in on-site physical security.

IDF Plans Troop Reductions in Gaza
Representatives of the American strategic planning firm emphasized their “full neutrality” in the project, stating their goal is to ensure safe passage while adhering to the highest security standards, as reported by Axios.
The IDF is expected to withdraw from the Al-Rashid coastal road eastward to Salah al-Din Street by Saturday as part of a phased process, allowing Palestinians to return northward following the completion of the second phase of hostage releases. However, further withdrawals will likely occur in stages, contingent on developments on the ground.
It is worth noting that in 2003, three U.S. government security contractors were killed in an attack on an American convoy in Gaza. At the time, Israeli officials attributed the assault to Hamas, prompting significant restrictions on American operations in Gaza for security reasons.
