During the meeting, Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon strongly criticized Council members for their repeated double standards, accusing them of completely ignoring the suffering of Israeli children.
During the discussion, Danon presented a photo of Kfir Bibas, the infant kidnapped along with his family by Hamas terrorists. He underscored that since their abduction during the October 7 massacre, no information has been received about their condition from the terror organization.

Danon directed sharp criticism toward Hamas, stating: “Hamas, not Israel, has turned Gaza into a war zone. Hamas, not Israel, uses children as human shields.” He stressed that terror infrastructure is located in civilian areas, including schools and hospitals.
He then called on Security Council members: “When will you do something effective against Hamas to change the future for children worldwide?”
Danon condemned the Security Council for ignoring the pain and suffering of Israeli children, stating: “Why haven’t you held a discussion on the situation of children in Israel? Children who suffer from ongoing terrorism. You are blind to their pain and their tears.”
