Reinforced Security in Judea and Samaria
Over the weekend, the Security Cabinet decided to update the war objectives in light of the hostage deal, with an strong emphasis on bolstering security in Judea and Samaria. Accordingly, the IDF will allocate significant forces to the area, similar to the post-October 7th deployment, with any future reductions in forces to be made only after a subsequent Cabinet decision.

The decision outlined objectives including increased action against terrorist organizations in Judea and Samaria, proactive measures of defense, and heightened guard over the security of Isreali communities and transportation routes. Additionally, if Hamas violates the agreement, the IDF will resume intensified combat, including targeted eliminations, economic sanctions, and the destruction of Hamas’ financial infrastructure in Gaza and Judea and Samaria.
