On the eve of Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration, Israel’s defense establishment received important news, as reported today (Sunday) by journalist Yehuda Schlesinger. The incoming president has already facilitated the removal of restrictions on the supply of strategic weapons to Israel which had been imposed by the Biden administration.

Trump Approves: Vital Battlefield Tools
Among the military equipment expected to arrive in Israel are essential D9 bulldozers, which had been purchased but were delayed for months. These D9 bulldozers play a critical role on the battlefield; utilized for uncovering explosives, clearing pathways, and demolishing structures without the need for explosives.

Shipment Set to Embark for Israel
Thanks to their unique design, the bulldozers exhibit an especially high resilience against explosives and gunfire, making them irreplaceable in complex combat situations.

“Seventy D9 bulldozers will leave the U.S. for Israel in the coming days,” Schlesinger tweeted on his X account, adding that “ten months ago, Israel ordered and paid for 130 units – the Americans imposed an arms embargo, and the equipment was not shipped.”

The shipment was delayed for months by the Biden administration as part of a policy aimed at applying pressure to achieve humanitarian relief in Gaza. Finally, the shipment is now expected to be loaded onto ships bound for Israel.

Weaponry for Fighting Ongoing Threats
In a speech delivered by the prime minister following the approval of a hostage deal, Netanyahu praised Trump’s decision to lift restrictions on the supply of critical weapons. He stated that Trump had “removed all remaining restrictions on the supply of essential arms and munitions to the State of Israel, enabling us to return to fighting with tremendous force and intensity if necessary.”

Defense officials emphasized that lifting the restrictions on strategic arms supply powerfully enhances Israel’s operational capabilities and provides the IDF with essential tools for addressing ongoing threats.
