This morning (Monday), Israeli President Isaac Herzog met with Erin Molan, an Australian journalist and news presenter, who was recently dismissed from Australia’s Sky News network after repeatedly expressing support for Israel on her social media platforms. Molan thanked the President for the warm reception and said: “Here, you witness so many horrors, terror, and heartbreak, but then you also feel an incredible sense of hope.”
Herzog: “You Are a Figure of Moral Clarity Amid a Massive Attack”
The President thanked Molan for her steadfast support of Israel and expressed his deep appreciation for her moral clarity. “We followed you during the war as a figure of moral clarity. Under a massive, unending assault from those who do not understand or see the full picture. We are the ones fighting for the free world. Here. We are the ones stopping the empire of evil. We stand on the front lines of a clash between civilizations, between values, and we are the ones accused? Then someone like you emerges—with a stance and moral clarity—and we deeply value that.”

“Something has to change. Terror is unacceptable. All this violence is unacceptable. This is a watershed moment we are facing, and I think that is why your voice is so important. That is why Israelis identify with what you are saying,” Herzog added.
Molan: “Amid Horrors and Terror – Incredible Hope”
Molan thanked the President for the warm reception and emphasized the resilience she has witnessed in Israel. “Here, you see so many horrors, terror, and heartbreak, but then you also feel an incredible sense of hope.”
The journalist continued: “I can assure you that the vast majority of Australians stand with you. The loud minority gets a very large platform. It is clear that we all believe, and we stand with you. But I didn’t fully understand the depth of the horrors that took place on October 7, and you cannot comprehend it until you watch the footage of those atrocities and visit the site where it happened.
We all want the children in Gaza to stop dying. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t want that, but the way to achieve that is to bring the hostages home and end Hamas’s rule.”
