Forces from the IDF’s 36th Division, operating for several days within the Gaza Strip, have completed their mission in the Rafah sector and are continuing with intensive operations in the Khan Younis area. Over the past week, the division’s combat teams—together with elite Yahalom engineering units—have worked to dismantle terror infrastructure both above and below ground, with the goal of eliminating terrorists from the organizations active in the region.

The ground forces, supported by artillery and fire support units, are operating to weaken the operational capabilities of the terrorist organizations. During these operations, dozens of terrorists have been eliminated, and hundreds of terror targets destroyed, including observation posts, combat compounds, tunnel shafts, and underground routes.

In addition, as part of the aerial campaign, Israel Air Force aircraft—working in coordination with the division’s fire coordination center—carried out dozens of successful strikes that resulted in the elimination of additional terrorists posing a direct threat to the forces on the ground.
