The purpose of these fabrications is to create a false impression of widespread public support for Hamas among the Gazan population, particularly following the events of October 7th.<\/p>\n
The documents, found by IDF forces at Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza, demonstrate that Hamas is engaged in a deliberate and focused effort to conceal the decline in public support for the organization and to influence local and international public opinion. According to the documents, the murderous terrorist organization places significant importance on these survey results, with the surveys published in March showing clear falsification in favor of Hamas and its leaders, especially Yahya Sinwar.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the falsified results were intended to create the appearance of widespread support for terrorist actions, such as the massacre on October 7th. According to the accurate results released by the IDF spokesperson, “Only about 30% of Gaza residents believe that Hamas’s decision to carry out the October 7th massacre was correct,” whereas about 71% expressed support for the massacre according to Hamas’s falsified data.<\/p>\n
The accurate results show that most Palestinians in Gaza believe that negotiations, rather than terrorist attacks as claimed by Hamas, are the way to achieve their goals. More than half of the survey participants think that Israel will win the war, compared to Hamas’s falsified data, which claimed that most residents of Gaza believe that Hamas will defeat Israel. Furthermore, “the accurate results reveal that only about a fifth of Palestinians are satisfied with Sinwar’s leadership,” in contrast to the high levels of support indicated in the falsified results.<\/p>\n
