Rocket Barrage in the North <\/strong><\/p>\n The IDF Spokesperson updated this morning (Wednesday) that following alerts about rocket and missile fire activated in the Golan Heights area, approximately 50 rockets were identified as crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Some were intercepted by air defense fighters, and several impacts were identified in the Katzrin area. Regarding the alert in the Upper Galilee area about the intrusion of a hostile aircraft at 8:23 AM, it was a false identification which happens sometimes in the north for various technical reasons. <\/p>\n Concerning the impacts, seven firefighting teams from the Galilee-Golan station are operating at several locations where direct hits on buildings were reported in the Katzrin area. In one incident, firefighters are extinguishing a fire in a building and searching for trapped individuals. The teams on site contained a gas leak and prevented a major disaster.
