The Nine Leading States<\/strong>
\nThe Anti-Defamation League today (Monday) launched a new index to combat antisemitism in the United States. The index, which ranks all 50 states according to legislation, education, and public protections against antisemitism, reveals nine states leading the fight, and 12 states showing only limited effort. It is based on 22 criteria across three main areas: antisemitism policy, education on Jewish history and experience, and protection of Jewish communities.<\/p>\n

Among the leading states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, New York, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.<\/p>\n

The new index (JPI) is the Anti-Defamation League\u2019s first-of-its-kind interactive tool, aimed at helping evaluate states\u2019 responses to the sharp rise in antisemitic incidents and attacks against the Jewish community in the United States in recent years.<\/p>\n

The Ranking Categories<\/strong>
\n“Leading States” \u2013 9 states with advanced and significant policy.<\/p>\n

“Advanced States” \u2013 29 states with partial alignment and a path for improvement.<\/p>\n

“States with Limited Action” \u2013 12 states with minimal effort.<\/p>\n

Eradicating the Rise in Antisemitic Incidents<\/strong>
