Air raid sirens sounded across the country Tuesday evening following the launch of a missile from Yemen. The Israeli Air Force successfully intercepted the missile. Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a warning to the Houthis: \u201cAnyone who raises a hand against Israel \u2013 that hand will be cut off.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe Will Strike the Houthis Too\u201d<\/strong>
\n\u201cYemen will be treated like Tehran,\u201d declared Katz.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter we struck the head of the snake in Tehran, we will strike the Houthis in Yemen as well. Anyone who raises a hand against Israel \u2013 that hand will be cut off,\u201d the defense minister emphasized.<\/p>\n

Houthis Respond<\/strong>
\nIn response, Houthi spokesperson Nasr al-Din Amer stated that missile launches from Yemen would not stop until \u201ca ceasefire in Gaza and the lifting of the blockade.\u201d He further claimed that any escalation against them would fail.<\/p>\n

U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee also issued a warning tweet to the Houthis, writing: \u201cMaybe those B2 bombers need to visit Yemen!\u201d<\/p>\n

Defense Establishment Prepares for Action Against the Houthis<\/strong>
\nA few days ago, Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the defense establishment to prepare for a wide-scale campaign against the Houthi organization in Yemen. This was first reported by Israeli reporter Yinon Magal.<\/p>\n

Senior defense officials said, \u201cThe Houthis are firing at Israel almost daily. Some of the missiles don\u2019t even reach and disintegrate in the air, but this situation cannot continue. The Houthis will pay a very heavy price.\u201d<\/p>\n

It appears the defense establishment views the confrontation with the Houthis as part of the broader effort to dismantle the Iranian axis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
