Dozens Wounded, Hospitals Hit as Iran Launches Morning Missile Barrage at Israel<\/strong>
\nA heavy barrage of missiles was launched from Iran toward Israel early Thursday morning, triggering sirens across large parts of the country, including Jerusalem, the central region, the south, and the Shfela area. Multiple impacts were recorded. While most missiles were intercepted, several did hit populated areas, including the Soroka Medical Center in Be\u2019er Sheva.<\/p>\n

Casualty Report: Dozens Wounded, Several Seriously
\n<\/strong>As of 9:00 a.m., Wolfson Medical Center reported they were treating 23 wounded individuals\u20144 in serious condition, 19 lightly injured. Soroka Hospital, which sustained a direct hit to its old surgical wing, treated several lightly wounded patients. With miraculous timing, the building had been evacuated the previous day, preventing a potential disaster. At least two people were critically wounded in Holon.<\/p>\n

A rocket fragment also fell on the grounds of Tel HaShomer Hospital with no injuries. In total, approximately 40 people suffered light injuries in different locations.<\/p>\n

Minister of Health: \u201cA Deliberate Act of Terror\u201d
\n<\/strong>Minister of Health Uriel Buso condemned the targeting of Soroka as “an act of terror crossing a red line.” He labeled it a war crime, noting that it was aimed intentionally at innocent civilians and medical staff. \u201cThanks to rapid preparedness and real-time coordination, a major catastrophe was averted,\u201d Buso said.<\/p>\n

A doctor from Soroka added: “Just yesterday we evacuated the old surgical building, which took a direct hit. It\u2019s a great miracle.”<\/p>\n

IDF Strikes Strategic Reactor in Arak
\n<\/strong>Simultaneously, the IDF launched another wave of airstrikes, targeting Iran\u2019s IR-40 nuclear reactor in the city of Arak\u2014a strategic site capable of producing weapons-grade materials under the guise of \u201cmedical research.\u201d A message in Persian from the IDF warned residents in Arak and surrounding towns to evacuate ahead of the attack.<\/p>\n

The IR-40 reactor, while less prominent than Natanz or Fordow, is seen by Israel and Western states as a critical part of Iran’s nuclear weapons infrastructure.<\/p>\n

All Missiles Intercepted in Midnight Attack
\n<\/strong>Earlier overnight, around five missiles were launched from Iran toward Israel. All were intercepted by Israel\u2019s air defense systems. One Iranian drone also entered Israeli airspace in the Gilboa and Jordan Valley regions but was downed without incident.<\/p>\n

Trump Approves U.S. Strike Plan, Delays Execution
\n<\/strong>President Donald Trump reportedly approved a U.S. military strike plan on Iran but has delayed its execution, awaiting Tehran’s response to his conditions on the nuclear program. According to Bloomberg, senior American officials are preparing for a possible strike in the coming days.<\/p>\n

Chinese and Russian positions diverged\u2014China announced plans to assist its nationals in evacuating through Egypt, while Russian President Vladimir Putin called for a ceasefire that \u201censures Israel\u2019s security while protecting Iran\u2019s interests.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the conflict widens and critical infrastructure becomes fair game, the Israeli public is urged to remain alert. The Home Front Command lifted protective measures by 7:42 a.m. but emphasized ongoing caution. The IDF continues offensive operations across Iran, while the international community watches\u2014and possibly prepares to intervene.<\/p>\n
