{"id":25403,"date":"2025-06-02T23:30:17","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T20:30:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reganews.co.il\/en\/?p=25403"},"modified":"2025-06-03T09:16:53","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T06:16:53","slug":"record-breaking-numbers-reported-at-the-western-wall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reganews.co.il\/en\/record-breaking-numbers-reported-at-the-western-wall\/","title":{"rendered":"Record-Breaking Numbers Reported At The Western Wall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"331\" data-end=\"635\">At the conclusion of the Shavuot holiday on Monday, the Western Wall Heritage Foundation reported one of the most significant events Jerusalem has seen in recent years: more than 100,000 people visited the Western Wall plaza during the holiday, continuing a 58-year tradition since the site\u2019s liberation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"668\"><strong data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"668\">A Peak at Night and at Dawn<br \/>\n<\/strong>The highlight of the holiday came at sunrise, when more than 20,000 worshipers filled the plaza for a powerful <em data-start=\"781\" data-end=\"790\">Vatikin<\/em>(early morning) prayer, the recitation of <em data-start=\"833\" data-end=\"842\">Akdamut<\/em>\u00a0(introduction to the assigned <span class=\"glossary_item\">Torah<\/span> reading), and heartfelt singing. Following the service, a large <em data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"915\">Kiddusha Rabbah (<\/em>The Great<em data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"915\"> Kiddush) <\/em>took place with the participation of Chabad Kollel, during which tens of thousands of personal kiddush kits were distributed to the worshipers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1447\">Throughout the night, thousands arrived to participate in <em data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1140\">Tikkun Leil Shavuot<\/em> (all-night Torah study) and the reading of <em>Tehillim- <\/em><em>Psalms <\/em>. Among them were hundreds of students taking part in a special program run by the Western Wall Heritage Foundation.
