Amid mounting international pressure from Europe on Israel, Dr. Fiamma Nirenstein \u2014 former Deputy Chair of the Italian Parliament\u2019s Foreign Affairs Committee and now a senior fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs \u2014 issued a stark warning on Tuesday about what she calls Europe\u2019s deep moral decline in its position toward the State of Israel.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe European Union Demands Nothing of Hamas\u201d \n<\/strong>Nirenstein points to a repeated pattern of denial and indifference: \u201cThe European Union votes time and again against Israel, demands a one-sided ceasefire \u2014 and asks nothing of Hamas. Not even the return of the hostages.\u201d<\/p>\n
She adds that these positions are not only politically misguided, but represent a profound moral failure: \u201cApparently, \u2018genocide\u2019 no longer applies when it comes to Jews.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concludes with a clear call to European leadership: \u201cThe ones responsible for this war are Hamas \u2014 not Israel, and not the hostages.
