In honor of Jerusalem Day, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett shared his reflections. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bennett wrote:
\n\u201cThe Kotel, the Temple Mount, Jerusalem. My heart\u2014and the heart of every Jew\u2014has been connected to this place for thousands of years.\u201d
\nHe added, \u201cStrangely, even when I\u2019m here, I feel a longing for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bennett described his feelings during a visit to the Kotel and reflected on the Jewish heritage and history that bind the Jewish people to this place.
\n\u201cAs I looked at the stones of the Kotel, I prayed that the hostages would return home, and that all of Am Yisrael would come together and unite\u2014just as many stones form our one Wall.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to emphasize the importance of unity among the people of Israel on Jerusalem Day and expressed appreciation for Israelis from all walks of life. He noted moments of togetherness he observed at the Kotel:
\n\u201cOnly at the Kotel do you meet secular, traditional, and religious Jews\u2014and even a wonderful Gur Hasid who fought in Gaza for months!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJerusalem doesn\u2019t belong only to the religious\u2014it belongs to A-L-L of us!\u201d Bennett concluded, highlighting the need for connection among all parts of Israeli society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
