Yuval Raphael\u2019s performance of \u201cNew Day Will Rise\u201d electrified the Eurovision 2025 Grand Final on Saturday night in Basel, Switzerland, earning her first place in the public vote with 297 points\u2014and second place overall with a total score of 357. Despite global tensions and protests surrounding Israel\u2019s participation, Raphael delivered a stirring, emotional performance that moved viewers across the continent.<\/p>\n

Public Overwhelmingly Supported Israel\u2019s Entry<\/strong>
\nWhile the national jury vote placed Israel only 15th, giving it only\u00a0 60 points (including a single maximum 12-point \u201cdouze points\u201d from Azerbaijan), the public vote shifted the outcome dramatically. Raphael vaulted to second place overall, just behind Austria\u2019s JJ with his song \u201cWasted Love,\u201d which scored 436 points.<\/p>\n

12 Countries Gave Israel Top Marks<\/strong>
\nTwelve nations awarded Israel the maximum 12 points in the televote: Azerbaijan, France, Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and Australia.<\/p>\n

In addition, the \u201cRest of the World\u201d voting bloc, representing non-participating nations, also gave Israel the top score.<\/p>\n

Several other countries\u2014including Ireland, Cyprus, Finland, San Marino, Norway, and Czech Republic\u2014granted Israel 10 points.<\/p>\n

\nAt the post-show press conference, Raphael thanked audiences across Europe: \u201cTurns out you don\u2019t need the judges to reach the top.
