{"id":22651,"date":"2025-05-12T01:00:23","date_gmt":"2025-05-11T22:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reganews.co.il\/en\/?p=22651"},"modified":"2025-05-11T21:16:43","modified_gmt":"2025-05-11T18:16:43","slug":"israel-moves-to-halt-palestinian-land-claims-in-area-c","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reganews.co.il\/en\/israel-moves-to-halt-palestinian-land-claims-in-area-c\/","title":{"rendered":"Israel Moves to Halt Palestinian Land Claims in Area C"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the ongoing fight against the Palestinian Authority\u2019s illegal takeover attempts in Judea and Samaria, the Security Cabinet today (Sunday) approved a joint proposal by Minister of Defense Israel Katz and Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich for Israel to renew its land registration process in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution stipulates that land registration procedures carried out by the Palestinian Authority in Area C will be regarded as unauthorized and their outcomes will hold no legal validity in Israel.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the decision, Israel\u2019s defense establishment will be instructed to act against the continuation of the Palestinian land registration process in Area C. Renewing the registration process under Israeli authority, alongside invalidating the Palestinian efforts, grants Israel exclusive authority to determine land status and manage registration independently.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strengthening Jewish Settlement<\/strong><br \/>\nAdditionally, the defense minister will instruct Israeli regional authorities in Judea and Samaria to resume the land registration process, accompanied by updates to the relevant security legislation.
